The purpose of the training opportunities listed below is to increase your knowledge and vocabulary on a subject. Many of these trainings teach basic work and soft skills.
It is important not to confuse these trainings with accredited certifications, diplomas, or degrees from technical and 2-year or 4-year colleges.

GCFGlobal is a completely free online learning program that teaches essential skills employees need to work in the 21st century. GCFGlobal teaches 52 subjects including Microsoft Office, e-mail, reading, math, and more.

Alison offers free online training that is self-paced. Each course is either a diploma or certificate course. 360 Training provides over 6,000 courses. Some of these courses are as short as 4 hours and some are longer full-length training programs.
The trainings offered on 360 Training are divided into 8 categories: Food & Beverage, Real Estate, Environmental Health & Safety, Healthcare, Insurance, HR & Compliance, Power & Utilities, and Other Courses, specifically Business Skills, Trades & Engineering, and Industrial Skills.

New Horizons provides online training opportunities through “live” online classrooms with instructors. There is a variety of options available, including one-time classes and full training programs.
While New Horizons specializes in offering training in the IT field, they also offer a number of other online programs, including Leadership & Professional Development and Business Productivity.
They also offer online and mobile-friendly Bootcamps (blend of soft skills and vocational skills), as well as individual basic, intermediate, and advanced Microsoft Office classes (called Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3).
