Medical Assistance

Medicaid is similar to a health insurance program, but with a few exceptions, such as Medicaid Purchase Plan (MAPP), there are no insurance premiums and very few limitations on coverage.  This program offers people with disabilities who are working or interested in working the opportunity to buy health coverage.

Income and asset requirements are based on FPL (federal poverty level) rules.  These programs are administered through the Northern Income Maintenance Consortium which includes BadgerCare, Family Planning, Community Waivers, Nursing Home and Elderly-Blind-Disabled medicare programs.
